Da Ma Cai: 1+3D, jackpots and results
Da Ma Cai 4D is the 4D game run by Pan Malaysian Pools, and it works much like Magnum 4D and Sports Toto: you pick a four-digit number from 0000 to 9999, place a bet from RM1, and check the result after the draw on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday at about 7:00 pm Malaysia time. Da Ma Cai's full name is 1+3D, and the same ticket can also carry 3D and jackpot games, which is why the brand is often written as "Da Ma Cai 1+3D".
What Da Ma Cai actually is
Da Ma Cai is operated by Pan Malaysian Pools Sdn Bhd, and its profits go to the Tun Razak Foundation, which funds education and welfare programmes. That structure makes it a little different from Magnum 4D, run by Magnum Corporation since 1969, and Sports Toto, which sits under the Berjaya group. All three are licensed operators, and all three draw on the same regular days.
Beyond the big three, Malaysian punters also know the regional and online operators: GD Lotto (Grand Dragon, Cambodia-based, daily draws), 9 Lotto (daily draws), Sabah 88, Sandakan STC and Cash Sweep in Sarawak. Da Ma Cai sits firmly in the licensed, physical-outlet category.
Draw days and timing
Da Ma Cai draws on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, with results out at roughly 7:00 pm MYT. Special draws land on some Tuesdays and are announced in advance, so it pays to check the schedule before you buy. If you want the full picture across operators, our draw schedule page lays out the weekly rhythm.

Bet types and how a ticket works
The core bet is a 4-digit number. Big bet covers 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 10 special and 10 consolation prizes — 23 winning numbers in total. Small bet covers only the top three places but pays more. Minimum bet is RM1.
Then there are the variations:
- iBox / Box — covers every permutation of your number. Price depends on how many permutations exist: 24, 12, 6 or 4.
- Roll (R) — one digit becomes all 10 options, costing RM10.
- Mbox — available at Magnum, not Da Ma Cai.
If you are new to any of this, our how to play guide walks through filling in a ticket step by step.
Prize structure
Typical payouts per RM1 for a Big bet at Da Ma Cai, Magnum and Toto are RM2,500 for 1st, RM1,000 for 2nd, RM500 for 3rd, RM180 for special and RM60 for consolation. Small bet pays RM3,500, RM2,000 and RM1,000 for the top three. iBox prizes are divided by the number of permutations, so a 24-permutation box pays far less per combination than a straight bet.
The odds of any specific 4-digit number taking 1st prize are 1 in 10,000. Across all 23 Big-bet prizes, it is roughly 23 in 10,000. Full breakdowns sit on our prize structure page.
Checking results and claiming
Official results come from the operator's own website and app (damacai.com.my), and they are also posted at outlets. Be careful with third-party "result" sites and anyone selling "prediction" formulas — no method predicts a draw, and fake result pages are a common scam. Our check result page explains how to verify a number properly.
Prizes up to a few hundred ringgit can be collected at any outlet. Anything larger goes through the operator's regional or head office. Malaysian lottery winnings are not subject to personal income tax, and winners must be 21 or above — licensed operators serve non-Muslims only, as required by law.
One more thing worth knowing: licensed Malaysian operators sell through physical outlets only. Online 4D is offered by international platforms that accept local payment methods such as bank transfer and FPX, Touch 'n Go, DuitNow and crypto. If you go that route, use our "Play 4D online" button and treat it as entertainment, not income.
