Magnum 4D: draws, games and results
Magnum 4D is one of Malaysia's three longest-running 4D lottery games, run by Magnum Corporation since 1969. If you are searching for Magnum 4D draw days, game types, prize amounts or how to check results, this page covers all of it in one place: Magnum draws on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at about 7:00 pm Malaysia time, offers 4D, 4D Jackpot and Life games, and pays from RM1 per bet with a 1st prize of RM2,500 for a Big bet.
Who runs Magnum 4D?
Magnum 4D is operated by Magnum Corporation, which has been running 4D draws in Malaysia since 1969. It is one of the three main licensed 4D operators in the country, alongside Sports Toto (Berjaya group) and Da Ma Cai (Pan Malaysian Pools, whose profits go to the Tun Razak Foundation). All three are licensed and sell tickets only through physical outlets and authorised agents — none of them sell 4D online directly.
Other 4D-style games are known to Malaysian players but sit outside the three main operators. GD Lotto (Grand Dragon) is Cambodia-based and draws daily, 9 Lotto also draws daily, and Sabah 88, Sandakan STC, Cash Sweep (Sarawak) serve players in East Malaysia. If you are comparing operators, our Da Ma Cai guide and Sports Toto guide break down how each one works.
Magnum 4D draw days and times
Regular Magnum draws run on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, with results out at about 7:00 pm MYT. Special draws are sometimes held on a Tuesday, and these are announced in advance on the operator's official channels. Sports Toto and Da Ma Cai follow the same Wednesday–Saturday–Sunday pattern, so most weeks you have three main draw days across all three operators.
Daily-draw alternatives such as GD Lotto and 9 Lotto publish results every evening — GD Lotto around 7:30 pm and 9 Lotto around 7:00–7:30 pm MYT. For the full weekly picture, see our draw schedule.
Games and bet types
The core Magnum game is classic 4D: you pick a 4-digit number from 0000 to 9999. Beyond that, Magnum also offers 4D Jackpot and Life games, which work differently from a standard 4D bet. Within standard 4D, the main bet types are:
- Big bet — covers the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes plus 10 special and 10 consolation numbers, so 23 winning numbers in total.
- Small bet — covers only the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, but pays more when you win.
- iBox / Box — covers all permutations of your number. The price depends on how many permutations exist: 24, 12, 6 or 4.
- Roll (R) — replaces one digit with all 10 options, costing RM10.
- Mbox — a Magnum-specific option.
Minimum bet is RM1. If you are new to the format, our how to play guide walks through each bet type step by step.
Magnum 4D prize structure
Prizes below are typical per RM1 staked, and match the standard structure used by Magnum, Sports Toto and Da Ma Cai.
| Prize | Big bet (per RM1) | Small bet (per RM1) |
|---|---|---|
| 1st prize | RM2,500 | RM3,500 |
| 2nd prize | RM1,000 | RM2,000 |
| 3rd prize | RM500 | RM1,000 |
| Special | RM180 | — |
| Consolation | RM60 | — |
iBox prizes are divided by the number of permutations your number produces. The odds of any specific 4-digit number taking 1st prize are 1 in 10,000, and the chance of hitting any of the 23 Big-bet prizes is roughly 23 in 10,000. Full breakdowns are on our prize page.
How to check Magnum 4D results
Official results are published on the operator's own website and app (magnum4d.my), and are also displayed at outlets after each draw. That is the only source worth trusting. Fake "result" sites and sellers of "prediction" numbers are common, and no method can predict a draw — 4D outcomes are random.
When you check, match your number against all prize tiers for your bet type, not just the top three. Our result checking guide explains how to read a results page properly, and the common mistakes page covers the errors that cause players to miss valid wins.
Claiming, tax and eligibility
Small prizes up to a few hundred ringgit can usually be claimed at any outlet. Larger amounts require a visit to the operator's regional or head office with your IC and the original ticket. Malaysian lottery winnings are not subject to personal income tax. Licensed operators require players to be 21 or older, and under Malaysian law only non-Muslims may buy or claim 4D tickets.
If you prefer to play from your phone, licensed Malaysian operators do not sell online — online 4D is offered by international platforms that accept local payment methods such as bank transfer or FPX, Touch 'n Go, DuitNow and crypto. Our site links to one such platform through the "Play 4D online" button. Whichever way you play, treat it as entertainment, set a budget and play responsibly.
